The flow of water in Mahakali river has decreased. But the river has not stopped cutting the guide bund of the pond under construction next to the four-lane concrete bridge. The flood destroyed the guide bund and filled the pond.
According to the police, the flow of water in Mahakali reached 95,000 cusecs on Sunday morning. Banwasa bridge of Sarada Barrage, which has been closed for three days, has been opened for four-wheelers as the water flow drops below 1 lakh cusecs.
Mahakali was flooded after continuous rains, traffic of large vehicles was stopped from Friday. When the flow of Jogbuda and Bhujala rivers stopped due to the flood of Mahakali, a large number of locals have been displaced by the flood.
On Friday, the flow of water in Mahakali reached 461 thousand cusecs.
