A house in Baitadi has been destroyed by a landslide due to continuous rain. The house of Janakraj Awasthi of Surnaya-6 Dhulidhar in Baitadi was destroyed by a landslide due to heavy rain. According to the police, 8 houses in different places are at high risk due to landslides.
Navraj Awasthi, a local, said that when the house collapsed, a bull tied to his shed was injured. According to him, the houses of Ambadatta Pant, Chandradev Pant and Padmaraj Awasthi in Dhulidhara are at risk of landslides. The landslide has also destroyed the vegetable garden of Ambadatta Pant and Chandradev Pant.
Similarly, according to the District Police Office, five houses are at risk of landslides in a place called Nagarjuna Padyabaz in Dasharatchand Municipality-11. Police inspector Balram Pandey informed that the houses of locals Khimanand Pant, Gumani Pant, Keshavdutt Pant, Ragidutt Pant and Gopaldutt Pant were at high risk of landslide after the house yard was taken away by the landslide on Friday afternoon.
Now the family of five is staying at a relative's house. According to the police, they moved to their relative's house as there was a possibility that the house might be destroyed by the landslide. It is said that the fence of Ambadatta Pant and Chandradev Pant was also destroyed by the landslide.
