The roof of Siddhadeep Basic School in Patan Municipality-8 Khodpe of Baitadi has been blown away by the wind. On Friday morning, the school building's roof was blown off by the storm that came with the rain, affecting the teaching of the school.
According to Mohan Bista, chairman of the school management committee, the wind blew the roof of the school's two-room building.
The roof of the two-storey building covered with zinc sheets was partially blown off and more risk was created, he said. According to him, there was a problem in teaching after the wind blew the roof of the building where studies up to class 8 were held. Similarly, 20-year-old Sunita Bhatt of Patan Municipality-4 Thum was injured when stones fell from the roof of the house due to the storm that came with the rain.
According to Man Bahadur Chand, Vice-Professor of Jagannath Multipurpose Campus, Sunita got a deep wound on her right leg when she came out of the house in the morning due to a stone falling from the roof. Injured Sunita is being treated at District Hospital Baitadi.
