Landslide blocked Jai Prithvi highway again

The landslide that fell at Jalebagar on Jai Prithvi Highway around five o'clock on Thursday morning was removed late at night. The highway was blocked due to another landslide at the same place on Friday morning. After incessant rains that fell throughout the day on Thursday and overnight on Friday, the road has been blocked in many places including Jalebagar, Baluwatar, Vygute Khola.

When the road was blocked, the passenger vehicles going out of the district and all the vehicles and passengers coming in from the outer district were stranded are As the road is blocked every day, the commuters have to face a lot of hardship in the movement. 'The vehicles that came since yesterday evening have stopped here. Passengers who have not been able to reach their destination are upset,' said one passenger, Lal Bahadur Bohra, 'Vehicles going to Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar, Kathmandu have not been able to run.'

'The dozer has gone to remove the landslide of Jalebagar and remove the landslide of Baluwatar. Due to the damage to wires and poles due to the Jalebagar landslide, the electricity service has been interrupted and efforts are being made to repair it, Nepal Electricity Authority Bajhang distribution center said. The center informed that the electrical service will start by noon as the technical team has gone for repairs.
