51 families of Girdharpur and Farela of Janki Rural Municipality of Kailali have been moved to safe places after being at risk of flooding after heavy rains, said the people's representatives of the respective wards.
Ward President of Janki Rural Municipality-4, Dipendra Kumar Katharia, 35 families of Girdharpur on Friday morning in Girdharpur. He said that the construction was moved to a safe place. Similarly, 16 families of Ward No. 7 Farela have also been moved to a safe building.
District Administration Office Kailali has alerted the nearby residents to stay safe as the water level of Mohana, Khutia, Kandra, Gharaha, Kataini, Patharia and other rivers in Kailali is increasing.
