Students have locked the main gate of the Malikarjun Model Secondary School in Dhap Municipality-7 of Mahakali demanding teachers. Students studying in classes 11 and 12 locked the school since Thursday morning demanding English teachers.
Principal of the school, Surendrasingh Budhathoki, said that since 5 months, there was no teacher to teach English subjects in classes 11 and 12 of the school, and the school was locked since morning demanding the management of the teachers. Initially, the students locked the gate. Now parents have also come in front of the gate.
Currently, due to lack of English teachers in schools, teaching and learning has been affected. On Wednesday, the students studying in classes 11 and 12 had prepared to come for Mahakali Municipality Gherau. After receiving the information that the students would surround the municipality with a demand for teacher management from the municipality, the mayor postponed the program on Wednesday after the mayor's assurance that English teachers would be arranged as an alternative from Thursday. After the teacher did not come to the class on Thursday morning, the students locked the main gate of the school.
After the school's mulgate was locked, students studying in other classes and teaching teachers could not enter. Similarly, the children's club formed in the school has also requested that the teacher posts be filled as soon as possible and said that if the posts are not filled, they will carry out more agitation programs.
