Jai Prithvi Highway, which was closed since 7 am on Thursday due to the landslide, has not been opened yet. The highway has been blocked for two days due to a landslide near Jalebagar in Chabispathivera rural municipality-1.
The police said that there is a problem in opening the highway due to continuous landslides. "Now, the fall of stones has decreased in the morning," DSP Yuvraj Bhandari, chief of the district police office, said, "Two machines are being used to remove the landslide." He said that the road could be opened soon.
The only road that connects Bajhang with other districts is blocked every day, so the passengers have to face a lot of trouble. The journey of the sick, children, disabled, children and the elderly who have to be taken out of the district is difficult. Since July alone, Jai Prithvi Highway has been blocked more than 40 times. The electricity service of the district has also been interrupted since Thursday after the electricity pole was damaged due to the landslide on the road.
