Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that his first priority is to create a new law related to the police. He said that the Police Act of 2012, which has been amended at various times, is not sufficient.

"We have made the creation of new laws related to the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force as our first priority," said the Minister of Home Affairs. I will submit the related law to the Parliament within 100 days.

Nepal Police Law has been decided and sent to the Ministry of Finance for approval, he said. He said that in the new law, Nepal Police jawans and constables are going to have voluntary retirement in 16/18 years. He also said that laws related to elections, which are in a different state, are also being unified.

The home minister, who came to Far West on Tuesday, came to Kailali on Thursday after participating in various programs in his home district Kanchanpur on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, he inaugurated the petrol pump built at the state police office in Dhangadhi.
