Kamal Dhami of Bhimdatta Municipality-9 Musetti studies class 10. The Siddhanath Secondary School in Brahmadev where he studies is about an hour and a half away. That is why he leaves home two hours before. Even during the rainy season, you have to get wet and cross the river to get to school.

Musetti is located at the foothills of Chure, 8 km north of Brahmadev. There are half a dozen small rivers on this road. Because of this, students have to cross the river to reach school. When it rains, khare comes from the chure. In such a situation, students are even stranded on the way.

"If you don't go to school because it's raining, you'll miss your studies, you can't go to school when it's raining," Kamal said, "It's difficult to go around on a bicycle because the roads are damaged by the floods."

There are three settlements in Chure Fedi on the North Mahakali bank from Brahmadev, Khalla, Tundikhel and Musetti. More than 50 students from all the three settlements come to Brahmadev for study. Since there is only a basic level school in Khalla, Brahmadev and Mahendranagar have to come to study on it.

'If the river comes a little, we run, if it comes too much, we can't go to school,' said Pooja Khadka, a class 10 student in Siddhnath Mavi, 'on the one hand, the fear of having to walk to school, on the other, the fear of floods.'

Quarterly exams were being conducted last week. The school also conducted internal exams for students studying in class 10. Because of this, students had to reach school without saying anything about floods and rains, said parent Birendra Bista. According to him, there are more than 50 students studying at the secondary level from Musetti, Tundikhel and Khalla.

When the roads are good, some students reach school by bicycle. But during rainy season you can't even travel by bicycle. Currently, the students of that area are spending 3/4 hours daily around the school. In summer, school starts at 7 am. At this time, parents say that students should leave home at 5 in the morning.

Until a few years ago, only schools up to the basic level were operating in Khalla. Now education is being done in Musetti from 1 to 5 and in Khalla up to basic level. Locals say that because of this, small children are comfortable. Meena Vick, a resident of Khalla, said, "It is difficult to go to the school near the house. It is difficult not only for children, but also for others to go there." .

After the rains, the road connecting Brahmadev to Musetti has also been damaged. The municipality has been opening blocked roads from time to time. Due to the abundance of rivers and canals, the roads are blocked even during normal rains. Since Chure is at the bottom, landslides have also occurred.

Parents say that it is difficult to get to school and it takes a lot of time in the neighborhood, so the students here rarely reach the upper class. According to them, most of them are barely literate and enter India for employment. They used to enter India because the school was far away for education and there was no possibility of employment in the village. Some are making a living by fishing in Mahakali.
