Gaura festival, the original festival of the Far West, has officially started from Saturday. It is a tradition that on the day of Bhadra Shukla Paksha Panchami, the festival of Gaura begins by placing Biruda in every house.

Today is called Biruda Panchami. It is customary to soak the five grains (meat, kale, wheat, wheat and grass) and cover the copper pot with cow dung, and decorate it with Akshata to make biruda. Biruda is considered as an offering to Goddess Gauri. It is customary for women to sing sagun in the local language while soaking the biruda and phag while soaking the biruda. The two days of Saptami and Ashtami are considered as special days of Gaura. It is believed that by fasting and worshiping Gaura, the husband and family members will be healthy, long-lived, and the family will be happy and prosperous.

On the last day (Navami) of Krishna Janmashtami, there is a tradition of celebrating Gaura Sela.
