A woman has gone missing after jumping into the Mahakali river from near Ringnetal in Darchula headquarters Khalanga.

District Police Office Information Officer Gyanendra Bahadur Singh said that 25-year-old Dhanisha of Mahakali Municipality 1 went missing after jumping into the Kunwar river around 6:20 pm on Saturday. According to him, the search for the woman who jumped is underway. The identity of that woman has not been disclosed.

The police said that the search operation is difficult due to the cloudy water in Mahakali. The security personnel said that they are currently searching for the missing woman on the river bank.
