Balabhadra Lower Secondary School in Santa village of Simkot rural municipality-8 in Humla has been closed for two days. Due to continuous rain in the district, the road leading to the school near Santa village was destroyed due to a landslide and the school was closed due to the absence of students.
The students of Simkot-8 Yangu village have not been able to go to school for two days due to the collapse of the road. Pemathuket Tamang, teacher of Balbhadra Nimawi, said that the students here could not go to school for two days on Thursday and Wednesday due to heavy rain. The road in the area between Yangu and the school has collapsed.
When the students did not attend the school, their studies were affected and the school was closed. It was closed after the students did not attend the school because they could not move around. Locals said that the students coming to study were in trouble when the road was blocked. Due to road blockage, not only the students but also the locals who commute here have a problem.
He said that the school itself had to be closed because the upper part of the school was also dangerous. He said that there is a need to close the school because there is a fear that the school will collapse when it rains.
