The headmaster of a school in Salyan has died after being struck by lightning. Police said that 56-year-old Dal Bahadur Karki of Kalimati rural municipality-1 Lakshmipur Satlakkhola died.
He is the headmaster of the local Kalidevi Primary School . Karki, who was seriously injured due to lightning, died on the way while being taken to the district hospital for treatment, said Bhawani Prasad Dhamala, police inspector of the district police office, Salyan.
The shepherd was injured by lightning on Monday evening when he went to graze the cows and goats near his house. The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
