Partial professors working in Surkhet Multipurpose Campus have protested after the agreements made in the past were not followed.

After the campus head Madhav Prasad Khanal started the contract process of only 2 members of the management faculty illegally on Sunday, some professors started protesting against the agreement with the concerned parties.

Due to the indefinite lockdown in the campus, academics and administrative work have also come to a standstill. There is a strong demand of part-time professors to cancel the decision to contract only the management faculty as soon as possible and to follow the agreement reached with the concerned parties and the part-time professors union at various times.

"We are not saying that we will not contract any part-time professors, but we should advertise and contract according to the agreement between the university executive and the part-time professors in the necessary subjects from among the part-time professors who have been teaching in the faculty of pedagogy and management for a long time," said a joint statement issued by the professional organization.

Meanwhile, the Campus Unit Committee of the Nepal Partial Professors Association has also issued a statement and warned the campus head not to violate the agreements made in the past. The union has objected that the campus head singled out the candidates against the university procedures without following the rules and procedures. In a statement signed by the association's president Krishnaram Raskoti and secretary Ridesh Giri, it is said, "If the campus head does not back down from that step, he will have to take responsibility for the consequences."
