Industry, Tourism and Transport Minister of Lumbini Province Prachanda Vikram Neupane has formed a working group for improving the transport sector.

In order to ease the problems seen in the transport sector in the last phase, a 10-member Lumbini province overall transport administration improvement suggestion task force has been formed under the coordination of the Ministry's division head Ramesh Gautam.

Working group members include representatives of the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, officials of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, representatives of the Information Technology Institute, the head of the Transport Management Office Rupandehi (Driver Permit), the Transport Management Office Rupandehi ( Head of Vehicle), representative of Nepal Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office Butwal, mechanical engineer of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport and the chief member of the Transport Branch of the Ministry. The

task force will prepare a study report on the political and legal complications seen in the delivery of transport services, the complaints of service recipients, and the problems faced by mothers while taking services. Minister Neupane said that since the customers are facing difficulties while taking the service from the transport office, they will study the reality and make the service easy and the process of necessary action will be taken forward.

'We will identify the problem faced by the customer,' he said, 'the goal is to make the transport sector citizen-friendly.' He instructed. The

task force will also prepare a report on administrative and managerial issues, inter-ministerial coordination and roles. He said that according to the report of the working group, he would give guidelines for future work.
