The local administration is going to conduct a search operation to control the drugs that are being smuggled out of India illegally.

In a program held here on Thursday, Chief District Officer Rudradevi Sharma said that a search operation will be conducted in the border area to make the control campaign effective for drugs including brown sugar and sugar.

Chief District Officer Sharma speaking at a program with representatives of the eight municipalities of the district, civil society, media personnel and security personnel said that the campaign will be conducted in the Nepal-India border area.

The Indian border post connected to Bardia is 83 km long . Most drug trafficking happens in Badhaiyatal, Gulria and Madhuvan municipalities.
