Every sector should be evaluated on the basis of data: Chief Minister Acharya

He said that the work done by the provincial government and the subordinate offices should be evaluated based on the data.

Addressing the Lumbini data portal publicizing program held at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers office on Wednesday under the organization of the State Planning Commission, Chief Minister Acharya said that the data of all sectors including economic, social, and physical should be made realistic.

Becoming a data portal is an important achievement. It should be made usable by all agencies,' he said, 'Evaluation of every job should be based on data.' Lumbini province's economic, social, cultural, educational, physical, infrastructure and other subjects and aspects of the data have been integrated and kept in one place.

Finding and using data was a problem in the past. However, Khim Bahadur Kunwar, Secretary of the Provincial Planning Commission, said that from now on, all the data related to the province has been kept in the data portal and the data available there can be used.

Lumbini Province's systemic situation is covered. Secretary Kunwar says that since the details are kept in an integrated manner, its usefulness has increased. In this portal, the data of all sectors including economic, social, educational, health, physical infrastructure, urban development, forest and environment prepared by the relevant ministries of the state government have been integrated. also includes data prepared by independent researchers. Santosh Gartaula, chief data officer of Nepal e Data Office, said that integrated data will help in the overall development of Lumbini province. He said that the data portal can be used as a data bank.

Data up to union, state, district and municipality are included. The Lumbini state government is preparing the second periodic plan. Although there was a lack of data during the preparation of the first periodic plan, it is believed that the data in the data portal will help in the subsequent periodic plans.

It has also been arranged that data on the same indicator can be compared between municipalities and ministries. The Provincial Planning Commission has created a data portal to facilitate the data program for the development of The Asia Foundation, which is run with the support of UKAD.
