A technical team has arrived in Rupandehi a few days ago after there was a rumor that there was a tiger in Tinau area of Rupandehi. A technical team from National Nature Conservation Fund Chitwan came to Rupandehi on Tuesday.
The
team has installed cameras for surveillance after on-site observation in Siyari Rural Municipality-7, where the tiger was said to have arrived on Wednesday morning.
Wildlife technician Deep Prasad Chowdhury said that there was no forest area where a big tiger could hide or live in that area. It is said that it will continue for 4 days .
All the locals who have heard about the sighting of the tiger are terrified of the tiger rumor. After the tigers were seen near the settlement, the administration has started trying to control them . Last July 17, Suddhodhan-3 and Siyari village ward no. After three tigers with cubs were seen near Tinau River located at 7, a notice was issued to exercise caution.
On July 21, the Tilottama Municipality office also issued a notice to exercise caution after receiving information about the presence of a tiger in the vicinity of Tinau River.
Senior forest officer Deepak KC said that the office informed the chief district officer after Siari rural municipality received a letter that a tiger was seen near the settlement. After informing Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal, under his instructions, the commander team reached Siari and understood the reality and coordinated accordingly by correspondence to Bardia and Chitwan Nikunj. He said that technical assistance has been requested.
After issuing a notification in the ward and municipality that locals had seen a tiger, Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal sent a team from the Forest Office last Saturday to make them understand the reality. After the forest team understood the situation and confirmed that the tiger was present, the Chief District Officer himself reached Siari on Sunday .
Prazia Aryal said that when talking to locals and people's representatives, they were being cautious after seeing a tiger on July 17 and told her that some women fainted after seeing a tiger again on Saturday.
"If it is a tiger or any other animal seen near the settlement, it is necessary to control it," Aryal said, "for that, we have called the technical team of Nature Conservation Fund to Rupandehi."
