One person died in a vehicle accident in Belbas of Butwal. Two other people were injured and the deceased was identified as Ankit Pathak, 23, resident of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-13, said Vijayraj Pandit, chief of the area police office Butwal.
On Monday morning at 4:55 a.m., a motorcycle numbered Lu 19 P 8875 traveling from east to west and a scooter numbered Lu 85 P 3313 traveling from north to west collided with each other at Belbas Chowk.
The scooter driver Pathak, who was seriously injured in the accident, died at Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal at 5:25 in the morning, Police Chief Pandit said.
In a similar accident, Ankit Pathak's 42-year-old mother Gaumukhi Pathak was seriously injured. He is being treated in the ICU. Besides, the driver of the motorcycle, Sagar Tharu, 18 years old from Wanganga-4, Kapilvastu is also being treated as he is also injured.
