The district branch of Nepal Cancer Prevention Organization has conducted a tree planting campaign in schools.
With the aim of motivating the school to study in a clean, green and beautiful environment, trees have been planted at Ratnarajya Lakshmi Secondary School located in the headquarter Taulihwa. 30 plants of different varieties were planted.
Branch president Rajesh Gyawali said that trees have been planted in the school campus to facilitate students in practical activities by teaching them in a clean environment. He said that they will now regularly plant trees in schools from primary to high school in the headquarters.
Inaugurating the tree plantation, Kapilvastu Municipality Mayor Sudeep Paudel said that tree plantation is important because it will not only make human life easier but also help maintain the balance of the ecological system.
