Traffic has been disrupted due to a landslide in Ranikot, east of Rukum on Madhyapahari highway. The under-construction Ranikot-Khopichar road section in Sisne Rural Municipality-6 was blocked after a landslide last night.
From Rukum West to Rukum East, Baglung, Pokhara and Kathmandu, from Rukum East to West, Dang, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, etc., traffic has stopped.
Chief District Officer Madhav Prasad Sharma informed that the power lines of the district have also been disrupted since last night when the national transmission line coming from the west was also affected by the landslide.
Prazia Sharma said, "Dozers have been working since morning to open the road. If there is no further landslide, the road can be operated till the afternoon.'
