The Lumbini government has postponed the 'Lariats and International Fourth Summit for Children, Development and Peace' scheduled to be held in Lumbini on February 28 and 29 after the power equation at the center changed.

The Cabinet meeting held today at Deukhuri in Dang under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has been adjourned citing special reasons.

The summit has had a direct impact since the new coalition government at the center is in the final stages of conference preparations. Lumbini State Government spokesperson and Home Minister Santosh Kumar Pandey said that the conference had to be postponed due to the lack of internal preparations rather than the alliance at the centre. In the

conference, 18 special guests, including 9 Nobel Prize winners and heads of state and former prime ministers of various countries, were scheduled to come. For some time, the staff at the Butwal Liaison Office of the Chief Minister's Office had made extensive internal preparations.
