One person died in a traffic accident that occurred on Saturday in Gorkha Municipality-9 Dalbhanjaang under Abunkhaireni-Gorkha road section. One person was injured.
Two people were injured when a tipper No. G 1 K 5654 and a motorcycle No. 70 P 2871 coming from the opposite direction collided with each other from Gorkha Bazar towards Abunkhaireni. DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of District Police Office Gorkha informed that 25-year-old Surendra Rai, who was injured in the accident, died at Gorkha Hospital on Saturday evening during the treatment.
Similarly, Janam Rai, a resident of Khapang, Sankhuwasabha municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha, was injured. After his treatment at Gorkha Hospital, he has been referred to Nepal Army Hospital in Kathmandu for further treatment. His right arm and shoulder were injured. Both Surendra and Janam, who were involved in the accident, were working as Les Nayaks in Ripumardan Gana Gorkha.
DSP Shrestha informed that the tipper and the driver are under arrest and the incident is being investigated.
