Chief Minister's request to speed up the Muglin-Pokhara road

After the delay in Muglin-Pokhara road expansion and upgradation, Chief Minister Pandey has given instructions to speed up the work so that vehicles can move easily. "Something has become easier in the eastern section, but the common people have suffered when the work is delayed in the western section," Chief Minister Pandey said in a discussion among the stakeholders held at the Chief Minister's office on Sunday 100% of the work has been completed while only 30% of the work has been completed in the western section.

After the discussion of the stakeholders, it has been decided to take a lump-sum royalty on the construction materials in accordance with the law so that the royalty amount determined by the state government will not decrease by removing the double tax.

Currently, the construction company complained that there was a problem in the work due to the different rates of royalty and tax depending on the local level. The meeting has decided that the electric poles in the road area will be relocated immediately by the Electricity Authority, and since the festive season is approaching, the project office will fill the potholes in the road area to facilitate the movement of vehicles.

Five decisions have been made, including the construction of a two-lane road from the gate of Pokhara International Airport to the Seti River Bridge and the construction of a two-lane road. The

discussion was attended by the Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Chief Secretary of Gandaki Province, Mayor of Shuklagandaki Municipality, Chief District Officer of Kaski and Tanahun, Head of Road Planning, Unit Heads of Electricity Authority and others. In the discussion, the construction company has informed that they have set a target to be able to work within the next 15 months. It has also made 5 different decisions to facilitate the work of the project office and construction company to speed up the road expansion and construction work.
