In the guidelines issued by the government to provide compensation and relief to farmers if wild animals damage crops, it is mentioned that relief will be provided if wild animals damage crops planted on private land. Arrangements to give maximum 10,000 rupees relief for not growing the crop planted in one season and twice a year is in the directory .

Monkey, nilgai, wild boar, arna, bear, rhinoceros and elephants are in the guidelines to provide relief to the affected farmers. However, farmers complain that this amount is too low.
