There has been a water crisis in Tusal village, Kathmandu-5, Budhanilkanth, due to the destruction of the water spring tank built inside the Shivpuri-Nagarjuna National Park.
Park Warden Dr. By the order of Ganesh Pant, the residents of Bagmati Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation Ministry of Water Supply, Energy and Irrigation of Wagmati Province have registered a petition for solving the problem.
The villagers who arrived at the Ministry with a force on Tuesday have requested the Water, Energy and Irrigation Minister Shyam Bahadur Khadka to solve the problem immediately.
'We had built a tank last year with the consent of the park itself by spending one lakh rupees. However, the tank built in the spring was demolished as it was not in accordance with the rules. The pipe was cut," said Krishna Bahadur Tamang, chairman of the Water Consumer Management Committee. He alleges that the park has shown inhumane behavior when the villagers have already consumed the water by building a well. He said that this step has directly affected 5000 people in 300 households.

Minister Khadka has promised that he will discuss with the park about the demolition of the water source and take initiatives to solve the problem.
