One more death due to dengue infection in Chitwan

Chitwan. One more person has died due to dengue infection in the district. The deceased is a 41-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18 Chanauli. He died during treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

The hospital said that he came for treatment due to fever and died during the treatment. Dr. Kalyan Sapkota, senior physician of Bharatpur Hospital, informed that he was admitted to the hospital on Friday and died on Tuesday. According to him, the patient had severe dengue infection. He died due to bleeding from different parts of the body and his organs stopped working (multi-organ failure).

The hospital said that he was treated by putting him on a ventilator. Earlier on Saturday, a 63-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-2 died due to dengue infection at Chitwan Medical College.

During the examination of 3,331 people who came for treatment at various hospitals in the district, dengue infection was found in 788 people. Among the infected, 580 are from Chitwan and the rest are from other districts.
