Rasuwa section of Pasanglhamu road has been blocked due to road collapse in Banuwa Ghumti, Uttargaya rural municipality-5 in Rasuwa. Due to the incessant rains on Wednesday night, traffic was blocked due to the road section being washed away.
As the road was blocked, the containers, buses, trucks and other vehicles loaded with goods from the Rasuwagadhi crossing were stopped on the road. Only motorcycles and small vehicles were plying, while large vehicles were prohibited, Chief District Officer Bednidhi Khanal said.
'Construction of the collapsed road section and operation of traffic through alternative routes Efforts are being made,' he said. Earlier, the road was blocked for more than 2 months due to a landslide on July 25, 2017. The road was blocked due to the barbed wire installed at that place.
