Although the budget has decreased compared to the current financial year, he said that the budget includes special programs to make Birgunj beautiful, advanced and prosperous in the coming financial year. In the budget for the next financial year presented in the Municipal Assembly, 2.4 billion 46.6 million or 70.7 percent has been allocated for current expenses, while 81.8 million 8 thousand or 28.1 percent of the budget has been allocated for capital expenses.

For the next financial year, among the sources that the metropolis will bear expenses, there are 790 million 75 million from internal revenue, 1 billion 279 million from the financial transfer of the Government of Nepal, and 26 million 80 million from the federal revenue distribution.

Similarly, the metropolis has reported that the budget has been managed by spending 53.5 million from provincial intergovernmental financial transfers, 28 million from provincial revenue sharing and 100 million from cash balance.
