Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal's first convention is starting from 1 pm on Monday in Janakpur. Preparations have been completed to inaugurate the convention of Jaspa in the grand pandal built in the historic Tirhutia village of Janakpur.

According to Jaspa Nepal, the main leaders of all the political parties of Nepal have been invited to the opening session of the convention. CPN(S) President Madhav Kumar Nepal, Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, National Independent Party Vice President Swarnim Wagle and CPN General Secretary Netra Vikram Chandra will be present at the opening ceremony, Jaspa Nepal leader Jitendra Yadav informed. According to him, efforts have been made to make the opening session of the first convention of Jaspa Nepal civil and grand.

The JSP Nepal leadership will also be selected at the convention. Leader Yadav said that no one has expressed interest in replacing Upendra Yadav as the party president. According to him, it is seen that there will be competition for other positions. JSP Nepal central committee election is scheduled for Wednesday. 20 office bearers including the president will be elected from the convention of Jaspa Nepal.

The convention will elect one chairman, one vice-chairman, five vice-chairmen, two general secretaries, three deputy general secretaries, seven secretaries and one treasurer and 211 central members and executive members. Out of the seven secretaries, there will be seven secretaries, one from each of the seven provinces.

About two thousand delegates will participate in the convention, according to Jaspa Nepal.
