There is a tendency among the youth of Nepal to go outside rather than looking for opportunities within the country. Due to this, the country is losing physical labor and talent. There are limited employment opportunities within the country in industry, business and government sector. The lack of opportunities for professional development is pushing the youth towards foreign employment. Another reason is the weakness of the education system.

The knowledge and skills gained from education are not available in the country. Political instability and corruption have also frustrated the youth. Since the governance system of the country has become unstable, trust is losing. Nepal lacks an inspiring environment for new ventures and innovation. Due to the lack of favorable policies, financial support and structures for entrepreneurship, the youth seem ready to fly out to realize their talents and ideas.

Social pressure and traditional thinking is also a reason. The family and society consider foreign employment as respectable, so the young generation is encouraged to go abroad. The solution to the problem is to create an environment that creates opportunities for the youth within the country. Only by opening new doors of employment, improving the education system and creating supportive structures for entrepreneurship can the youth be encouraged to stay in the country. It is necessary for the government to take a long-term approach and a solid policy to keep the youth who will make the future of the country here.
