The Nepal Airlines Corporation has not been able to pay even the installments of the 24 billion loan incurred during the purchase of the aircraft.

Adding the interest on the loan and the loan taken for 6 Chinese ships as well as the operating expenses, it has been calculated that it has reached at least 47 billion. On the other hand, domestic flights are also in a very poor condition. It is ironic that only one of the three Twin Otter planes was in flight and that too was damaged and stuck in Nepalgunj! Despite seeing that the corporation has passed through such a critical situation, no serious investigation and resolution measures have been shown on its concerned officials.

Despite years of complaints and suggestions about the deteriorating national flag carrier airline, stakeholders have not heard the wind. Why buy an expensive flight from a cheap company/agent for commission without planning the destination? What is the director general of the authority looking at even though the plane that was sent two months ago for detailed testing was stuck and could not be serviced? If the airline is to be improved, the current manager must be removed and replaced by a new and non-political person with a clean image. If not, it would be better to hand it over to the private sector rather than continue this kind of scheming and risky flight.
