Due to the managerial weakness of Nepal Airlines, thousands of passengers are going to suffer again when the big planes are grounded. The income of the airlines is also going to decrease by 4 crores daily. Out of the total 4 big ships that Nepal has, one has been abroad for months for a widebody 'C' check, while the other one is preparing to go for a 'C' check.

Why does this happen on the eve of a festival like Dasain/Tihar? In order to benefit foreign airline companies, shouldn't airline employees benefit from the commissions that come from selling tickets at high prices? Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey should investigate this.

Let's start another debate whether airlines should buy new planes or not? If small ships are bought for the purpose of increasing domestic tourism and serving people in remote areas, then larger ships are needed to bring in foreign tourists at a cheaper price. On the one hand, we talk about bringing in 1 million, 2 million foreign tourists, on the other hand, we protest that airlines should not buy planes. What kind of thinking is this?

Due to lack of aircraft, Nepal has become an expensive destination. As there are not enough domestic ships, many foreign ships are forced to buy expensive tickets when bringing tourists to Nepal. Hydro and tourism are the means to develop Nepal. However, due to some employees and leaders who cannot think of long-term interests, the voice of opposition is raised if they try to add a new ship.

The latest example of that is the note of dissent of Dhaniram Sharma, then joint secretary of the Ministry of Finance, on the decision to buy a ship. Is the job of joint secretaries only to eat peanuts in the sun? Nepal does not need more ships? Is the employee's obligation fulfilled in writing a note of dissent?

Once upon a time, Thai Airlines and Nepal Airlines were in close proximity, but where have they reached today? When will Nepal's policy makers think? How long will the dirty game of never buying a new ship and not allowing the country's tourism to develop, showing the reasons for the management and losses?
