The government has transferred 40 joint secretaries at once. According to the decision of the Council of Ministers on Thursday, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has published the list of transfers on Sunday. According to the ministry, five joint secretaries have been drawn to the Ministry of Home Affairs from various ministries and local levels.
Director General of Transport Management Department and Water Supply Department and Chief District Officer of Ramechhap have been transferred. 22 Joint Secretaries of Administration Services and 10 Joint Secretaries of Engineering Group have been transferred.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City Chief Administrative Officer Pradip Periyar has been transferred to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. Saroj Prasad Guragai has been sent to the metropolis. He was in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply.
Uddhav Prasad Rizal, Director General of Transport Management Department, Min Bhavan, has been transferred to the Chief Minister's Office of Madhesh Province. He had announced in the last week of July that he could not print smart licenses except in emergencies. He had been saying that the single authority of the province should be sent there. He is a director general who can last a long time in transportation. He has been asking for transfer time and again.
Joint Secretaries Umesh Kumar Dhakal, Gobind Prasad Rizal, Prakash Poudel, Suman Ghimire and Shyamakrishna Thapa have been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Dhakal was taken home by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Rizal by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security. Prakash Paudel, secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Health of Gandaki Province, has been taken to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Similarly, Shyam Krishna Thapa, chief administrative officer of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality, has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Joint Secretary Paudel was working in Gandaki Province through the Ministry of Defense as Director General of Revenue Research Department. Shivraj Choulagai has been sent from the National Dalit Commission as the Chief Administrative Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City.
Ghimire was taken home by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Chief District Officer of Ramechhap Anita Niroula has been transferred to the Ministry of Education. Rajiv Pokharel working in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Madhesh Province has been transferred to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
Kamalraj Shrestha, Director General of Water Supply and Sewerage Management Department, has been sent to the Chief Minister's Office of Sudurpaschim Province. Madhav Prasad Bhattarai, who is in the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Lumbini Province, has been brought to the Ministry of Urban Development.
