The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for today has been postponed. As the meeting scheduled for 1 pm could not be held due to special reasons, the next meeting was scheduled to be held tomorrow at 1 pm, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Since the meeting scheduled at 1 pm today could not be held, the secretariat decided to hold it at 3:15 pm today. In the meantime, as the parties could not reach an agreement, the meeting was scheduled for tomorrow.
In the previous meeting of the House of Representatives, the Maoists had blocked the previous parliament meeting saying that the ruling CPN (UML) parliamentarians had commented on the armed struggle under the leadership of the then CPN (Maoist) as 'violence' and used unconstitutional words.
The Maoist center has been saying that the meeting will not be allowed until the word 'Maoist violence' presented in the Parliament meeting is removed from the Parliament. Speaker Devraj Ghimire's discussion with the chief whip of the Rashtriya Party at Singh Darbar on the issue of conducting the meeting scheduled for Sunday ended without any conclusion.
