Taxi No. 2 J 1792 was swept away by Dhobi Khola near the bridge connecting Hanumanthan and Thapagaon.
33-year-old Urgen Lama, the driver of the taxi, was rescued safely. The taxi washed away by the river was found at the intersection of Vagmati river and Dhovikhola in Thapathali.
The Kathmandu Valley Police Office has informed that they are trying to get the taxi out of Dobhan.
After heavy rain in Kathmandu valley on Sunday evening, the water level in rivers and streams has increased.
