Nepali Congress General Minister Bishwaprakash Sharma has said that constitutional amendment will be done to maintain political stability in the country. "Constitution is not for retrogression, it is amended for progress, Nepali Congress is ready for the amendment for progress," he said.
Speaking at an interaction program held by the Central Local Level Coordination Department in Hetauda on Sunday, General Minister Sharma said that Nepali Congress should take the lead in amending the constitution. He said, 'Major political changes in the country have taken place under the leadership of the Congress. Now the Congress should take responsibility for the transformation of the country.'
Chief Minister Sharma claimed that the Congress is the most faithful friend of the citizens saying that even the new political parties do not follow the rhythm of working according to the wishes of the people. 'Party does not happen by being new, trends and thinking need to be new. That is with the Nepali Congress,' he claimed.
In the event where local level people's representatives of Makwanpur participated, Chief Minister Sharma said that from birth to death, the people's representatives of the Congress should reach the homes and yards of the citizens and support them. He also instructed to work to fulfill the promises made in the manifesto and commitments made when he reached the village as a candidate in the election.
