  • The decision to expand the organization so that the party alone can win the next election without any alliance

Nepali Congress has decided to expand the organization of the party so that it can win alone without alliance with other parties in the upcoming elections.

After discussing the proposal regarding 'pre-election alliance' in the organizational document presented by General Minister Gagan Thapa in the General Committee meeting last February, the meeting decided to expand the organization of the party so that it can win alone in the next election without alliance with other parties. After the

meeting, spokesperson Prakash Saran Mahat said that since the issue of alliance or not is an immediate strategic issue, he has decided to focus on strengthening the organization of the party and creating a situation to win the election alone without taking any decision on that issue.

According to him, the meeting passed the reports presented by Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Minister Gagan Thapa and Vishwa Prakash Sharma to the General Committee with amendments.

'The meeting went on for a long time . "We have held many meetings and discussed," he said, "From today's meeting, the documents submitted in the General Committee meeting last February have been passed with some amendments. Some issues have been discussed and passed with the conclusion that we will proceed in the coming days.'

Spokesperson Mahat said that it has been decided to move the party organization forward, strengthen the organization in villages, and renew and distribute active membership in the context of General Minister Thapa's proposal.

According to General Minister Thapa's report, he said that it has been decided to take action on holding the convention on time.

Spokesman Mahat said that the meeting did not take any decision on another General Minister Bishwaprakash Sharma's 'exit policy' proposal. According to him, although the matter was discussed in the Congress, there was no need to make a decision now.

'The exit policy of Mahamantri Sharma was discussed in the meeting. But the party has not considered the need to make a decision right now. As the constitution of the party alone will not resolve this issue, it has been decided to discuss how to proceed during the amendment of the constitution,' he said.
