The Supreme Court has rejected the writ petition regarding detention of Bechan Jha, who was arrested in the case of fake Bhutanese refugee.

Supreme Court Spokesperson Govinda Ghimire informed that the bench of Sarvoch judge Tek Prasad Dhungana dismissed the petition while hearing the petition on Thursday. Jha, who was arrested on June 14, is being detained and investigated by the police with the permission of the Kathmandu District Court.

After the Kathmandu District Court repeatedly extended the deadline for investigation into organized crime, his son Dibyansu Shekhar Jha on behalf of Jha filed a petition for custody witness on 30th June 2081 . In the said application, although the hearing was scheduled twice, the Jha side kept moving it by submitting an application.

After the Supreme Court dismissed the writ, now the way is open for investigation by detaining Jha for 60 days. Jha, who was also discussed as the reason for the change in power alliance, was arrested by the police on June 14.
