The government has formed a five-member committee to investigate the solar ship accident. The Cabinet meeting held at Singh Darbar on Wednesday decided to form an inquiry committee under the coordination of former Director General of Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Ratish Chandralal Suman.

The committee consists of Captain Dipu Jwarchan of Nepal Airlines, Engineer Sanjay Adhikari of Shree Airlines, Associate Professor Sudeep Bhattarai of Pulchok Engineering Campus and Mukesh Dangol, Technical Officer of the Ministry of Tourism. The committee has been given time to submit its report within 45 days.

Sourya Airlines flight 9N-AME, which took off from Tribhuvan International Airport to Pokhara for maintenance, crashed at the airport at 11:11 am. 18 people have died in the accident. Pilot Manisharatna Shakya is undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital Sinamangal.
