Nabil Bank is going to issue irredeemable unreserved preference shares. The decision was taken by the special general meeting of the bank held on Monday. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Upendra Prasad Poudyal, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, passed the resolution to issue 8% unredeemable unsecured preference shares worth 5 billion rupees.

As it is necessary to increase the capital base through additional primary capital to address the business growth and risks of the bank, the bank has informed that it has unanimously passed the proposal to issue shares equal to the said amount in accordance with the terms and conditions of the instructions issued by Nepal Rastra Bank and after the approval of the regulatory body.
