The third edition of Kathmandu Kaling Sahitya Mahotsav (KLF) will be held on August 22 and 23 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur.

Tourism and Culture Minister Badri Pandey will inaugurate the festival, which will be attended by more than 300 writers and experts from South Asia. is

Nepal: With the theme Gateway to Asian Art, Culture and Literature, this year's Mahots will emphasize Nepal's rich cultural heritage and ties with South Asia.

Poets, writers, artists and experts from Nepal and India have been participating in this festival where there will be discussion and presentation in contemporary genres including art, literature, cinema, theater, music, media, politics. Dozens of writers from Nepal, India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka are participating in the festival, which is originally a gathering of writers from South Asia.

From Nepal, the chancellor of Nepal Pragya Pratishthan Bhupal Rai will also be hosting the festival. Abhi Subedi, Bhuvan Dhungana and other writers will be present at the festival. Likewise, famous writers from India like writer Uday Prakash, diplomat Lakshmi Murdeswar, economist and writer Sanjeev Sanyal, writer Guru Charandas will participate.

On the second day of Sunday, the British Ambassador to Nepal, Rob Fenn, will be the chief guest.

Rashmi Ranjan Parida, founder and director of KLF, said that the festival, which provides common cultural and intellectual exchange between Nepal, India and South Asia, commemorates the long-standing mutual relationship in the context of the emerging world culture. He said, there will be an exhibition of literature, music, dance, poetry and other arts in this festival.

Ranjana Niraula, founding member and director of KLF Kathmandu, expressed her excitement about the festival and said, 'This edition will provide a lifetime memorable experience for those interested in literature, music, art and culture.' In addition to

panel discussions and keynote sessions, attendees can also take advantage of events focusing on literature, art, music, poetry, and storytelling. Notable sessions will include topics like 'Rethinking Development and Diplomacy in the Digital Age', 'The Role and Future of Literature in the Age of AI', and 'Gurkha Identity: Opportunities and Challenges'.

The festival, which will be held at Hotel Himalaya in Kathmandu, will run parallely in three halls and will have more than 60 sessions during two days.
