Janu-Vasantraj Mishra Foundation is going to reward people who have made positive contributions in different fields of society in three different fields. The Foundation held a press conference on Friday and announced the prize amount of 9 lakh rupees in three categories including journalism.
The Foundation has decided to award the Environmental Protection Award, Durgadevi Mishra Education Award and Janu-Vasantraj Mishra Journalism Award every year. Organizers said that the award worth 3 lakhs will be awarded on August 13. President of
foundation, senior tourism businessman Basantraj Mishra said that awards will be given in three areas every year to individuals and organizations who have made positive contributions in various sectors of the society. He said that the foundation aims to carry out research and development work in social work, environment, education, literature, journalism and other fields and to support individuals and organizations working in that field.
Templem Tiger Group of Companies operated by Mishra has been doing social service under corporate social responsibility. Founded on 24th of November 2078, the founding president Vasantraj Mishra and the founder Janu Mishra are . Former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha is a special advisor. Trustees of
organization include Mandevi Bhandari, Captain Rameshwar Thapa, Architect Arun Pant, Journalist Prateek Pradhan, Dr. Madhu Acharya, Piyush Mishra, Brajesh Mishra and Rita Jay Pradhan. The secretary of the organization is Rajendra Kumar Maharjan.
