Directed by Meen Bahadur Bham, 'Shambala' has been selected for Oscar competition from Nepal. The selection committee in Nepal has chosen this film for the 97th Oscar.
From August 28, this film is being screened in Nepal. The production team claims that they will start preparing for their appearance at the Oscars as soon as the Nepali screening of the film is over.
This film, which made the history of the first Nepali film to be selected in Berlin's major competition in Nepal, recently won the Locarno Award. The film's lead actress Thinley Lhamo won the 'Boccalino Dior' for Best Performance.
Director Anurag Kashyap and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui from Bollywood recently came to Nepal for the premiere of this film. Due to their presence, 'Shambala' is widely discussed in the film industry.
