The Nepal Festival was completed in Western Australia on Saturday. With the aim of promoting Nepali art culture, tradition and tourism, Nepal Festival is being organized every two years in every state of Australia.

Thousands of Nepalis participated in the event held at the main location of Perth city. Hundreds of Nepalis and local residents dressed in Nepali costumes with tableaus reflecting Nepali art and culture had walked about 5 kilometers.

The local police provided security to organize the walk that was taken out early in the morning. Dharahara, Everest, Dhiki, Janto, Buddhist Stupa, which were intended to promote Nepali tourism and art, became the center of attraction during the festival, while various stalls of Nepali food were also kept in the event. The Minister of Citizenship, Education and Multiculturalism of Western Australia, Tony Buti, who participated in the


festival, said that Nepal is rich in art and culture, and said that it played an important role in making Australia a successful multicultural country. In the

program, Nepali band The X, Badri Pangeni, Aastha Raut and others also performed musically.
