Nepal Bottled Water Association has requested the sellers to sell Fani at the specified price and quality. The association issued a statement on Friday asking the consumers not to sell more than the fixed price during the festival.
The association has also emphasized that consumers and concerned bodies should also be aware of the quality and price of water.
'Let's be aware of the quality of water, clear logo, embossing or printed jar, QR code sticker with price, clean and good jar, water bottle, lab test document, because it is seen that water is sold and distributed at more than the specified price. In the statement issued by the association, 'We also request to purchase water with a water bill.'
The retail price of a jar of water in the valley is 45 to 47 rupees and the price of a bottle of water is 16 rupees. Outside the valley, the retail price of a jar will be Rs 60 and a bottle will be Rs 20.
Association has stated that the act of keeping non-edible items such as diesel, kerosene in empty water jars by the consumers will cause problems . Also, the industrialists should take the responsibility for the quality error of the sealed water, but the industrialists are taking action based on the complaints of unsealed water jars. It is also mentioned in the statement of the association that the cooperation of the state is necessary to make the
industry regular, dignified and professional.
