Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has given instructions to solve the problems seen in the extension of the transmission line of the Arun 3rd hydropower project.

In a 'virtual meeting' with the Arun 3rd hydropower project, investment board and chief district officers of five districts, Minister Khadka asked them not only to show the problem but to focus on the solution.

"Even if the power generation time is delayed by just one day, the state has to bear the loss of crores, as it affects the project and the entire country, minor problems should be solved so that it is completed and distributed on time," he said. Minister Khadka said that since the government has set a target of producing 28,500 megawatts of electricity in Nepal by 2035, the contribution of the project, chief district officer and the investment board is important to achieve that target.

He insists on solving the problem by collaborating with local public representatives and construction companies. "I have faith that the Chief District Officer will identify the obstacles to the progress of the project, who are the people related to them, and solve them," Minister Khadka said. He said that the government will also help to solve the problems seen at the local level.
