Industrialists have said that attention should be paid to policy stability and legal reform for the development of the economy as a whole.  They say that although some indicators of the economy have been positive in recent months, the productive and construction sector is still not viable, so the government should prioritize the improvement of this sector.

Confederation of Nepal Industry (CNI) in a discussion with the newly appointed Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal on Wednesday said that for the development of the overall economy, effective implementation of the budget and the use of indigenous products should be increased. In the

discussion, since the industries are still running at 30 to 40 percent capacity, the conditions of construction and wholesale and retail trade are also weak, the government should pay special attention to make these sectors viable and for that, political stability, necessary policy making, etc. .

The former president of the Confederation, Haribhakt Sharma, said that the process should be simplified to create a favorable industrial environment, and the industries providing employment should be encouraged to increase employment.

On the occasion, Chief Secretary Aryal said that the government needs the support of the private sector for the development of the economy. He said that when some laws were amended last time, it worked positively, but he said that he would move forward by reforming the law. Chief Secretary Aryalle claimed that the private sector felt something had happened during his tenure.
