The National Bank has said that the price may increase in the financial year 2081/82. While reciting the monetary policy for the financial year 2081/82 on Friday, Rashtra Bank Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari said that wholesale inflation has started increasing in Nepal recently.
"In India, the prices of food and vegetables, legumes, and pulses are high," he said, "due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, there is a risk that the price of fuel and food may increase in the international market."
Despite the gradual improvement in the world economy, the speed of improvement is slow and uneven, so the economic growth of emerging and developing countries has not returned to the rhythm and inflation is high, he said.
