Nepal Rastra Bank will coordinate with the government to create a separate mechanism for the regulation of cooperatives.
In the monetary policy of the financial year 2081/82 published by the bank on Friday, it is mentioned that it will coordinate with the Government of Nepal to create the necessary laws for the regulation and supervision of savings and credit cooperatives.
In recent times, there has been a demand for the creation of a separate mechanism for regulation because of the increasing cases of theft of savers' deposits in cooperatives.
